In case you missed it, Guns N’ Roses is back.

On April 1, the rock band announced a surprise show at famed Los Angeles venue the Troubadour. Though that date is notorious for pranks, this wasn’t a joke at all.

About 500 lucky fans were able to scoop tickets to the intimate show, which kicked off the band’s Not In This Lifetime tour (which will also make a pit stop at this year’s Coachella). Cameras were forbidden, but that didn’t stop intrepid audience members with an appetite for destruc— er, documentation.

Check out these photos and videos of Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan and more reuniting for the first time in 23 years.
